Well its that time of the year again - summer holidays in Ibiza and that means the exciting prospect of loosing yourself to some of the best electronic tunes of the summer. Below are some of the early Ibiza tunes that I expect to hear a lot more of this summer in Ibiza. There are sure to be many more that will develop and emerge as the summer progresses so we will keep you updated as they do.......
GusGus Crossfade (Maceo Plex remix)
We tweeted this tune as one to watch over 10 days ago and already it has been slammed everywhere during the Ibiza opening parties. Looks like a big year for Maceo Plex in Ibiza as he currently producing the heavy bass sound that the island loves.
Sharam- Tripi
One half of Deep Dish has produced a real deep Ibiza down and dirty track that has everything to make it a killler tune on the island this summer. Already a big hit in Miami expect to hear a lot of this in places like Enter, Space and DC10.
Kiesza - Hideaway.
My favorite track of the year so far. I just love this track and I am really looking forward to seeing Kiesza perform live at Ibiza Rocks with Rudimental on July 30. Not your typical Ibiza track but a class tune all the same and will bring a smile to many peoples faces this summer.
Conjour Baleria (Maceo Plex)
A Classic Ibiza feel to this one. Love the sound it makes and its got that distinctive Maceo Plex feel to it. Enter at Space on Thursday nights will go off BIG to this one.
Ninetoes (Escape)
He had one of the big tunes of last summer in Ibiza with Finder. Ninetoes is back with a follow up that is sure to be popular once again.
Claus Casper (Deep Inside)
This one has summer on the beach in Ibiza written all over it. Expect to hear a lot of this on radio, outdoor parties, beach bars and terraces. I have already heard it played at Sa Trinxa on Sallinas beach.The vocal takes 6 mins to drift in but its well worth the wait.
Hardwell - Everybody In The Place.
Expect all roads to Ushuaia on Tuesdays to be jammed with bright, colorful, up for it young party goers as Hardwell hosts his first ever residency on the island. The Worlds no#1 DJ is HUGE at the moment with a younger crowd. This is Hardwell's tune for the summer so be prepared for some messy moments at Ushuaia every Tuesday in July and August. A nod to The Prodigys classic track, Everybody In The Place and its not a bad effort of a remix.
Steve Aoki and Chris Lake - Boneless.
The jury is still out on Steve Aoki in Ibiza and I hope to get to see him in Pacha soon so judgement is reserved until then. Every year in Ibiza there is a cheesy track that the so called "Ibiza experts" love to hate and I have a sneaky feeling this track could be it. So bad its nearly good and its had over 5 million views on YouTube already. Dont look at the video for this track its cringe worthy stuff and plays to Aoki's critics who claim hes just a joke and not a real DJ.
